Lisa Mason Ganfield OTR/L, CHT, NBCOT, Senior Instructor for John F. Barnes Treatment Centers and Seminars

Lisa has been a licensed Occupational Therapist since 1982 and a Certified Hand Therapist since 1991. She has completed all of the John F. Barnes MFR courses, beginning in 1989. Lisa has repeated the courses multiple times and has been a Senior Instructor for the MFR Seminars and Treatment Centers since 2004.

In addition to the MFR courses, Lisa has taken and treats using John Upledger, D.O. Cranial Sacral I and II, and the four levels of Visceral Manipulation, as well as Neuromanipulation. She has taken Lymphatic Drainage I, Zero Balancing I, and has also has further advanced her dialoging skills with Upledger’s HCT I and II, and is a certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner.

The staff at Ganfield Therapeutics is highly knowledgable in the Barnes MFR, Upledger Craniosacral, Visceral Manipulation, Lymphatic Drainage, Trager, and Zero Balancing techniques. In conjunction with traditional PT/OT treatment, she feels, “MFR is the missing link to successful outcomes.”


Lisa Wheeler, OTA

Lisa is an OTA and Kinesiotherapist. She has taken and utilizes all 14 of the Barnes MFR courses, including Women’s Health. She has taken and utilizes Manual Lymphatic Drainage I, II, and III. Lisa recently completed Brain I and II courses, which assist with the healing and function of deeper brain functions, including concussions, vision issues, spinal cord dysfunction and hormone regulation.


Thewann Turner, Senior Administrative Assistant

Thewann came to Ganfield Therapeutics in 2008 and has been an outstanding addition to our office. Thewann has her Associates Degree in Health Care Administration. She is in Monday through Friday to schedule visits and answer any questions regarding our treatments and billing. She is efficient, friendly and knowledgeable.


Sara VanderBloomer, PT, CMTPT

Sara comes to us with extensive experience as a Manual Physical Therapist including Barnes Myofascial Release, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Dry Needling, and Biomechanical Lower Extremity Evaluations. She has also completed a 12-month Australian-based manual therapy program.

Maryellen Nardomarino, PT

Maryellen graduated from St. Louis University with a BS degree in 1996, Magna Cum Laude and has advanced trainings in Craniosacral therapies, McKenzie Manual therapies, Mulligan Mobilizations with Movement, Vestibular Rehabilitation and Neural Tissue Tension therapies.

Pamela Leiter, MS, OTR/L

Pam graduated from the University of Illinois in Occupational Therapy and received her M.S. at the University of Notre Dame. She has worked as an Occupational Therapist in acute care, mental health, physical rehabilitation, home health care and outpatient orthopedics. In 2014, she began studying myofascial release under John Barnes and has taken five classes. She enjoys learning new techniques to help patients improve their lives.

Laurie Sanzana, OTR/L, Zero Balancing Specialist

Laurie has been an Occupational Therapist since 1997. She has completed the Zero Balancing Protocol I and II, Craniosacral Therapy I, Barnes Fascial Pelvis, and integrative myofascial release courses. To assist in releasing physical restrictions, Laurie utilizes her training in EFT, visualization techniques and Qigong to facilitate the mind-body connection. In addition to manual therapy techniques, Laurie has a strong understanding in neuromuscular reeducation and visual/sensory processing for improvement of motor coordination skills. With an extensive background in pediatrics, she is able to treat both children and adults.

Kay Meyer, MA, CCC-SLP

Kay assists clients with neck, head and throat dysfunctions, through MFR and other Speech Therapy modalities. She has taken Barnes MFR I and II, and Cervical Thoracic courses. Kay assists clients in voice training, public speaking and a range of other vocal needs.

Mary Ann Testa, LMT, NCTMB

Mary Ann is a Licensed Massage Therapist and has spent several years in a clinical setting. Mary Ann is certified in Bodywork for the Childbearing Year, massage for pregnancy, labor facilitation, postpartum, and post c-section scar tissue release. She is also certified in Breast Cancer Rehabilitation. Mary Ann has completed Barnes MFR I, Fascial-Pelvis, Cervical Thoracic, and many other manual courses, including Process Acupressure.

Terry Loe, LMT

Terry treats with a variety of Massage Modalities, based on client needs and desires. Her massage techniques range from relaxation to medical massage. Integrative massage is the most common, combining many different techniques, consisting of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Visceral Manipulation, Touch for Health, Medical Massage, Kinesiology, Barhydt, Sports Massage, Acupressure, Oriental Bodywork, Shiatsu, Smart Massage, Reflexology, Lymphatic Drainage and more.

Gordon Russell, LMT, Reflexologist

Gordon grew up in a family of therapists and reflexologists from Canada. He has been practicing reflexology since 1976. Gordon has taken Visceral Manipulation I, II and IV (the thorax) and Barnes MFR I, Fascial Pelvis, and Cervical Thoracic classes. He specializes in balancing hormones and releasing restrictions in the organs for optimal function.

Carlo Manalo, PT

Carlo Manalo has been a practicing PT for 17 years. He believes in order for true healing to begin, treatment should be focused on the root of the problem and not just by addressing the signs and symptoms. He has completed Barnes MFR I, MFR Fascial Pelvis and MFR Unwinding.

Michael Morgan, LMT, CST-D

Michael Morgan is a leading instructor of John Upledger’s Craniosacral Therapy, CST I and II, and the Longevity Course. He is an expert in the area of immune system function and inflammatory response in the brain and body. Michael has recently pioneered and coordinated research in the application of Craniosacral Therapy for Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and has written a book titled Longevity Prescription. Michael sees clients once a month in our Gurnee office. We are fortunate to have Michael on staff with us!

Ellani Murides, MS, RMT

Ellani received her B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and holds certificates in a variety of energy healing modalities. She is a Reiki Master Teacher and Practitioner in both the traditional Usui System of Reiki and Karuna Reiki. Ellani’s passion for empowering others to heal themselves grew from a lifelong desire to heal and learn from life’s many challenges.

Prior to her current career in energy healing, Ellani was an Assistant Professor at University of Illinois – College of Medicine at Rockford, Health Sciences Library, and worked for 22 years at a large pharmaceutical company in management and training. Because of over 30 years experience in both Eastern and Western medicine, Ellani brings a unique perspective to energy healing. She has seen, first hand, the need for early intervention and integration of complementary therapies as part of the healing process.

Ann Galbraith, Trager Specialist

Ann specializes in the Trager Approach, a form of movement education and mind/body integration. Proponents claim the Trager Approach helps release old physical and mental patterning and facilitates deep relaxation, increased physical mobility, and mental clarity.
